Reef Aquarium Log App
The hardest part of running a reef isn't dosing or lighting — it's remembering. Was alkalinity 8.4 or 9.1 last Tuesday? Did the nitrate climb after you upped the feeding? A good log answers those questions in seconds. ReefParams is a free reef aquarium log app that lives entirely in your browser.
Open ReefParams — free & offlineWhat you can log
- Salinity / specific gravity, temperature, and pH
- Alkalinity (dKH), calcium and magnesium — the "big three"
- Nitrate and phosphate to keep nutrients in check
- Ammonia and nitrite for new-tank cycling
- A dosing log: what you added, how much, and when
- A free-text note on every entry (water change, new coral, dip, etc.)
Why a dedicated app beats a spreadsheet
Spreadsheets store numbers but don't interpret them. ReefParams shows the latest value for each parameter with an up/down indicator versus the previous test, and it flags anything outside the common reef-safe ranges — alkalinity 7–12 dKH, calcium 380–450 ppm, magnesium 1250–1400 ppm, salinity 1.024–1.026, temperature 76–82 °F, nitrate under 25 ppm and phosphate under 0.1 ppm. Stability inside those bands is what keeps corals coloring up instead of receding.
